I'd love to get a 4770R (BGA or not) but it does not seem to be available anywhere. So far the only product I found with Iris Pro was a laptop and it's sold out. What I'm looking for is a "real" desktop, with 32GB RAM, 6 SATA drives, and stuff.

This makes it sound like it's available, and on a decent board to boot! But alas, it also says "HD Graphics 4600" so the whole thing is just an error, or at least I can't find this product anywhere in any case. If it does exist, please let me know.

Colin: As for any motherboards with on-board Intel i7-4770R, since it is a BGA (non socketed) CPU, we don't currently have any plans to support as selling a high end non-socket board/CPU is difficult in the retail channel.Our distributors would have to carry a large line of credit to purchase both board and CPU which is hard for some of our smaller customers.Our customers like to be able to DIY their systems, so not being able to change their CPU would be a hard sell for us. That said, we are trying to convince Intel to come out with a socketed CPU with Iris Pro graphics core.

To me that sounds like board manufacturers like Gigabyte are boycotting the 4770R CPU in hopes that Intel will reconsider making a socketed version of it. Which doesn't explain why there isn't a board by Intel itself though.

I'd love to get this CPU myself for a Linux box with semi decent graphics but without the usual graphics card noise/heat issues. It would be a great build to replace my Intel E8400 2x3Ghz system. I'm extremely disappointed that this Iris Pro was hyped all over the news and the availability is simply nearly non-existant, and not even an announcement when this is likely to change to be found anywhere.

Thanks for your reply! I removed both RAM boards, and fitted them back one by one, trying both RAM slots. All four combinations worked, so then I fitted both RAM boards back and now everything worked fine. Must have been a bad connection in the slots...

Thanks for your patience. Incidentally, I found the best route to Safe Mode in W8 is to click on restart while holding the shift button down and going via 'Troubleshoot'.

Unfortunately, I still could not uninstall older drivers. Initially, the uninstall works properly and 3062's impending departure brings up the box to tick for deleting associated driver files. After that, though, clicking on 'uninstall' does not bring up the box and I just cannot get rid of the driver files for 2768 which means they are recovered on restart as far as I can tell. Either I am still doing something wrong or there is a glitch with my set-up. Is there another way of deleting those driver files?

I recently finished my new HTPC box, using an i5-4570T. I'm also getting these graphical corruptions using the latest XBMC 13 nightly build, Windows 8 Pro x64 and the only officially available driver from May 2013 - the rest works just fine.

After installing the beta driver 15.33.64.3214 from June 2013, the graphical corruption's gone. But I can't hardly playback any file, because no sound is getting trasmitted to my av receiver randomly, the video's playing choppy with low frame rates and sometimes XBMC suddenly crashes. Checking the debug log shows a LOT of strange errors all the time. This does not happen when using the May driver... Reverting fixes all this, but I have to live with the display bugs again. :S

So please, Intel, could you release another beta version for HD4600, in the hope I could achieve a satisfying user experience? 4th gen users are pretty much up the creek right now...

What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

Got my work computer with installed OS and some Drivers and 2 monitors (one is connected to VGA and second to DVI, both are identically).
So the VGA monitor works fine, for boot screen the DVI monitor works fine until the logon screen appears and go to sleep with no signal.
The fix with disable the HD graphics and enabling it back works well and the second monitor(DVI) comes to life. Tried many Driver versions. Some interesting stuff I found that if the second monitor don't work and I reinstall the drivers, the second monitor appears until next restart

Because you download the update from the Windows Store. Windows Store can not be accessed using drivers for GMA 3600.

- Upgraded my HTPC with DH87RL with BIOS Version 0320

- Technotrend S2-4100 is not detected in any PCIe-Slot (BIOS says slot "not populated")

(Card is still working in my old AMD-board. Switching to intel after 10 years of AMD in my house and the TV Card is not working anymore.... ;-) )

I had to clean install my Acer Aspire V5-471P with WIndows 8. I installed all the drivers from the Acer website and the screen became distorted. The laptop has a touchscreen. It is the same issue that can be displayed here -

I installed driver ver. 8.15.10.2761 and now everything works for me. Why there are no older versions of drivers on your website?

I had simillar prob with DH77DF, Initially PCIex1 cards were not coming up, then I looked into the communities and found that Intel has a BIOS update for this issue  and I took the BIOS update which is latest by May 2013 and PCIex1 cards started working, but I am surprised when I inserted a PCIeX4 card, this card is not detected, does it mean the BIOS update is only for 1 Lane? or do u have another fix for PCIEex4, does any one has any idea, or can anyone from Intel answer this?

I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 on DX58SO with Intel Rapid Storage Technology, version 12.5.0.1066, three Disk RAID 5. I had a disk, Seagate Barracuda ST3500320AS 500GB, fail and got an indication from the RST icon in the notification area. I replaced the disk and the SATA Array is currently rebuilding and about 60% complete. However, when I open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology program, I see four disks,  three show status as normal and one phantom disk, status missing, port location: unknown. It also shows the serial number of the old disk with a colon and zero added, but nothing else. I'm hoping that this phantom disk will disappear when the SATA Array finishes rebuilding, but I don't get the impression that it will. Also, on the Status tab, of the RST program, the current status indicates the system is reporting one or more events, and data may be at risk. It then indicates to refer to the details below for more information. There are two events indicated. The first is that the SATA Array 0000 is rebuilding and the second is "Unknown disk on Controller 255, Port Unknown: Missing.

Will this missing phantom disk issue resolve when the system finishes rebuilding the SATA Array after replacing the failed disk?

Sylvia I have always respected you due to your technical skills. However, we as end users, bought a motherboard written on it PCIE 3.0 & you can not sell only one compatible CPU "eg. i7-3820" which does not empower the PCIE 3.0

To sell a board with PCIE 3.0 & No compatible processor to empower the PCIE 3.0 doesn't make sense, I also think it's illegal, not to mention immoral.

I really hope Intel will reconsider
