Hi,

No, it seems to be the same, if not worse.

16.1.1 but after we install, it showed 15.10.0.11 instead. Is a June driver 16/6/2013.

Hi Sylvia,

CPU: Intel® Pentium® Processor G630

I have already updated the BIOS to the latest version 0117. But no use, same problem is there still.

BIOS Version/DateIntel Corp. BEH6110H.86A.0117.2013.0704.1354, 7/4/2013

Looks like the version 16 is reserved exclusively for the 7260 series since when I install the 16.1.1, I get exact 16.1.1 version on the device manager.

I agree, the dropouts actually seem to have gotten worse. Before it would at least reconnect for me, but now it just loses the connection outright. I'm also seeing 15.10.0.11 on my 2200.

Dear Intel,

If you looked at my issue report, provided via your support form, you would know that I had already tried the drivers 16.1.1

Pay closer attention to the info we're providing you - I suggest you actually read my last post for more clues on the problem with your wifi card.

Boz, did you try disabling 802.11n on your network card settings?

Re: Your computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software.

Same old story again - Newer WIDI v4.2.19.0 keeps asking for security code for older Netgear adapters (PTV 2000)

Intel,

This is a follow-up to my old thread: http://communities.intel.com/thread/39728

I was hoping after so many months and a new WiDi version, atleast someone would have looked at this problem... but no! We have the same issue again - the 8 digit code pairs only once - the widi software does not remember it and the adapter keeps asking for re-pairing everytime the widi application is restarted.

@Joe_intel - I think in the previous thread, you had mentioned that you were able to reproduce the issue and the team was looking into it.. After so much time I have given up on any improvement from Intel's side! Its really disappointing that Intel chooses to have such horrible techonlogy consistency in their products.

In case you are wondering, this is my system config:

windows 7 64-bit

using sony vaio VPCSC1AFM

graphics driver: 8.862.4.4000  (before you tell me this is old, let me tell you that this is the modified driver that is supplied by Sony. We cannot directly use the stock intel graphics 9.xx driver since the laptop has switchable intel/amd graphics.

wifi driver: 16.1.1.0

widi software: 4.2.19.0

netgear ptv2000 adapter firmware: 3.5.42.0  (ID: F33B)

Only widi software v3.1.29 or below, the 4-digit code with earlier versions works fine, no repetitive asking for code.

Intel - its just a big shame on you.

D2500HN and D525MW boards hang rather than booting from hard drive when a flash stick is inserted in a USB port

$

I have a number of systems with D2500HN and D525MW boards in them.  As part of system maintenance, I need to install software from a USB flash stick.  I have updated all boards to the latest BIOS revision.  With no USB flash stick, the system boots up normally.  With a USB flash stick inserted, the motherboard completes POST, then hangs, with the access light blinking in the flash stick showing that there is some action going on with it.  I have set the boot order to boot from the hard drive first.  If I press F10 to select the boot device, I get the same result.  The flash stick is also bootable, but that should make no difference.  (Yes, the flash stick does boot properly on other systems.)  Unless there is something that I am missing in the BIOS options, this appears to be a design defect in the BIOS itself, though it could also be hardware related somehow.

This does not prevent using the systems with Atom boards, but it sure makes any maintenance go more slowly, because I forget that these boards have this problem, so I get yet another system hang when I leave the flash stick in a USB port upon reboot.

We have some of these systems running XP and others running Win 7.  Same result.

Thank you... Ben ben_myers@charter.net

Joe_Intel,

The drive is brand new.  The data was transferred to it a week earlier.  Intel could revise their software to add a switch for /keepdata in the event disks without a standard partition table exist.  I hobbled together a number of other drives, transferred the data away and created the mirror.  It was a time-consuming and stressful process.  I appreciate your assistance.

Thank you,

Ryan

Hi

CMOS has been cleared, even battery removed and booting from a Microsoft OS is not an option in this case.

Thank you

Hi

Little sad to see that in many  such questions are answered  by "Limited" or "No" Linux support. I gathered that....

I my case Microsoft is not a option - sorry....

Any way I managed to solve the issue - here is what was done.

The CMOS, Factory reset and battery removal  - all did not remove the UEFI boot entries.  I can sort of see why, however, why is there no option within the BIOS to remove unwanted entries?

Anyway, once I had built the Debian 7.1 system, and ensuring it was booting use UEFI, it was just a matter if running, (as root)

modprobe efivars

and run the efibootmgr command to remove the offending entries.

This can also be done using live Ubuntu disk and as far as I can rememberer  the Debian live disk worked as well -  as long they are booted using UEFI.  I did this be ensuring that UEFI boot option was selected in the BIOS, and the boot device is selected from the UEFI options.

Re: Problem with HD Graphics and HDMI connection

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? I'm having the same problem, and it’s driving me nuts.

Background:

- My Lenovo B570 used to connect well to my Samsung LCD. The laptop screen would flash and auto-resize the resolution a bit and then appear on my TV. Everything was great.

- As time progressed, I started having problems with the cloning process. Sometimes it would clone; sometimes it wouldn’t. I’d unplug and replug the HDMI a few times, and eventually it would clone. Sometimes I would restart the computer and that would sort out the problem.

- I checked using with multiple HDMI cables and multiple ports on my TV. Most importantly, when I plug in the cable into my computer, the TV says "Searching for Signals", but when the cable is unplugged, it says "No signal". I also tried it with a different HDMI cable. Thus, I know it probably isn't the cable.

- I restarted the computer in safe mode with the HDMI plugged in, and lo and behold, the cloning works. Thus, I know it isn't the HDMI port on either my laptop or TV.

- I attempted reinstalling the driver for the Intel HD graphics 3000. The cloning works immediately after the driver is installed, but upon reboot, the cloning doesn't work. Note that the laptop resolution doesn’t auto-resize like it used to.

- I attempted reinstalling the drivers for the Intel chipset. That didn't work either.

Does anybody have any ideas about what's going on?

HDMI connection problem with Lenovo B570. TV no longer recognizes input.

My Lenovo B570 and Samsung LCD TV will no longer couple under normal operating circumstances.

- The laptop and TV used to connect well. The laptop screen would flash and auto-resize the resolution and then appear on my TV. Piece of cake.

- Over the last several weeks, I started having problems with the cloning process. Sometimes the TV would clone; sometimes it wouldn’t. I’d unplug and reinsert the HDMI (in the laptop), and it would clone after a few tries. Sometimes I would restart the computer and that would sort out the problem. Recently, however, I simply cannot get the TV to clone the laptop. It just says "No Signal" after briefly searching for a signal.

- I attempted fixing the problem using multiple HDMI cables and different HDMI ports on my TV. When I plug in the HDMI cable into my computer, the TV says "Searching for Signals" for 10-15 seconds then switches to "No Signal". When the cable is unplugged, it says "Check Signal Cable". I also tried it with a different HDMI cable. Thus, I'm assuming the problem isn't with the cable.

- I restarted the computer in safe mode with the HDMI plugged in, and lo and behold, the cloning works. Thus, I'm assuming the problem isn't the HDMI port on either my laptop or TV.

- I restarted the computer normally, and the cloning works until the login screen. At that point, the TV switches to "No Signal".

Does anybody have some input that might help me resolve this problem?

My computer is not shutting down.  After running microsoft driver verifier I found the problem related to:

NETwew00.sys    NETwew00.sys+22f848    fffff800`03244000    fffff800`0358a000    0x00346000    0x51791cf2    4/25/2013 7:09:22 AM    Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Adapter    Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Driver    15.8.0.5    Intel Corporation    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\NETwew00.sys

I am unable to find an update for this driver.  Also I am posting a link to the dmp files created by windows.  Microsoft SkyDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Web Apps.  Any help would be appreciated

Problem with intel HD Graphics 3000 in Asus UX32A with Windows 7 - Graphics error

Hello,

I have installed Windows 7 on an ASUS UX32A with intel HD graphics 3000. I installed the latest driver from the Asus Website. Now there are appearing squares filled with random colors. This problem  appears especially in Firefox, but also in other applications (also system applications). I attached a screenshot where you can see the problem. Most of the time, it is possible to scroll down the graphics errors with the rest of the website and the disappear when you scroll up again. Does anyone have an idea what that is?grafikfehler2.png
